LOVE WINS

​All authority on heaven and earth has been given to Me.  Matthew 28:18b
 
Jesus used His authority to crush the head of the serpent.  The serpent’s power is fear, and when Jesus died on the cross, He drove fear into the grave.  When Jesus rose from the dead, He empowered everyone who trusts in Him to rise above fear’s fruit, which is shame and guilt.  And so He prepared us to walk in His authority, forgiving as He forgives.
 
Jesus’s authority is love.  It’s the most powerful force in the universe, and nothing can stand against it.  When we take up our crosses and love the way Jesus loves, every enemy of God is defeated.  For the merciful love of Christ disarms every wicked thing; by the blood of the Lamb all evil is destroyed!
 
The enemy’s power is fear, while Christ’s power is love.  When we fix our eyes on Jesus, our hearts are filled with His and His perfect love drives out fear.
